Born and raised in Cornwall, Charlie has always dreamed of creating something special in the place he calls home. Recently a finalist on MasterChef: The Professionals, Charlie now brings his culinary artistry and passion to 'Charlie Walters at The Gate,' a new restaurant concept opening at The Gate this summer.

The menu, designed with a focus on high-quality local produce, features a delightful mixture of traditional Cornish flavours and modern culinary twists in refined small plates. Each dish is crafted to ensure that every bite is a memorable experience, showcasing the best that Cornwall has to offer.

The restaurant and bar is open Tuesday to Saturday, 12pm to 2pm for lunch and 5.30pm to 8.30pm for dinner.

We cater for all dietary requirements and our restaurant is dog friendly.

Our festive menu is designed to bring people together, sharing in food and laughter. 

To Start: A selection of canapés for the table

Main Course: Dry-aged Beef Wellington served family-style, accompanied by roast potatoes, seasonal vegetables, and a rich bone marrow gravy

Dessert: Indulge in our brown butter and brandy mince pie with Cornish clotted cream, followed by a cheese board for the table to enjoy
